Make crystal-clear calls on CommunicatorGO! 📞[edit]

CommunicatorGO Phone App[edit]

  • Phone

The Phone tab functions as a standard dialer, allowing users to place calls by entering numbers (0–9), as well as the * and # symbols. Once a number is entered, a person icon with a plus sign will appear—clicking this allows you to add the contact to your address book. To the opposite side of the number, you’ll see a message bubble icon, which can be used to send a text message to the recipient. Additionally, the clock icon with a circular arrow provides access to your call history, displaying recent incoming, outgoing, and missed calls.

  • Directory

The Directory tab displays all users currently listed in your company contacts. Presence indicators next to each contact provide real-time status updates:

A yellow circle indicates the user is away. A red circle means the user is currently on a call. A red circle with a dash signifies the user is set to Do Not Disturb. No circle indicates the user is online and available, but not currently on a call.

Clicking on a contact opens a detailed view showing their name, extension number, job title, and availability status. You’ll also find quick action icons that allow you to:

Chat (send an in-app message) Email the user Leave a voicemail directly Add them as a favorite contact

Scrolling down reveals additional information, such as:

Presence status (availability) Contact number (personal phone) Email address

At the top of the screen, you can toggle between:

Directory (company contacts) Contacts (your personal phone contacts) Favorites (starred contacts)

The menu icon (three lines in the top right corner) allows you to adjust sorting preferences, such as viewing contacts alphabetically, by online status, or in grid or list format.

  • Chat

The Chat tab allows you to view and continue previous conversations or start new ones.

Tapping on a past chat opens the conversation, where you can review prior interactions or send new messages. The three dots in the top-right corner provide an option to mark all chats as read. The blue plus icon enables you to start a new conversation with one or more contacts.

When starting a new chat:

You can select a single user or multiple users. Selecting multiple users will create a group chat, which you can name and use for team collaboration.

In a direct (one-on-one) chat, several additional features are available: The phone icon in the top right allows you to initiate a voice call.

The three-dot menu next to the phone icon opens the Chat Info panel, which displays: Participant details Shared media and files Options to start a meeting or delete the chat

Within this menu, you’ll also find the “Ask for Attention” option.

This sends a nudge to the selected user after confirming your action. Please note: nudges can only be sent once every 30 seconds.

  • Conferences

The Conferences tab allows you to easily create and manage group calls. To start a new conference:

Click the blue plus icon. Select the individuals you wish to include in the conference. Once invited, their phones will ring directly, and they can join the call immediately. This feature enables real-time collaboration and group communication within your organization.
